Description
Our mission is to help individuals and area businesses gain a competitive edge both locally and globally through education, networking and community involvement.
This month's meeting will feature the Bentonville Public School's Ignite program and highlight the Computer Information Strand. You will hear about the past, present and future of the Ignite program. Students will also be sharing about their experiences and how their internships in the workplace is helping shape their careers.
More about the Computer Information Program:
Bentonville Public Schools immerse students in real, relevant work in Computer Coding and Design. This innovative program meets at the TCS building in Bentonville. Students in the program gain valuable hands-on experience in the skills and habits of mind necessary for careers and continued education in computer coding, mobile apps development, software development, and website administration. This course is facilitated by a professional IT director and internships are offered at local companies. Students in the program earn certifications from U of A and college credit from NWACC.
Computer Technology is a high-demand, high-wage, high-skilled career in Northwest Arkansas. Employers are looking for students prepared in information technology who have the professional skills and entrepreneurial mindset developed in Ignite Professional Study programs.
