Build Bentonville | The State of Benton County
Hear from economist, Mervin Jebaraj, director of the Center for Business and Economic Research at the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, as he will discuss the State of Benton County with Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Graham Cobb.

Mervin Jebaraj is the director of the Center for Business and Economic Research in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. His research interests include regional economic development, industry market structure, development economics, public policy, and political economy.
In providing applied economic research as part of the outreach mission of the Walton College, Jebaraj has managed studies for a variety of clients including: Arvest Bank Group, the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, the University of Arkansas, and the Northwest Arkansas Council. Jebaraj also acts as a media commentator for economic analysis of current events and trends. He was selected to be a member of Arkansas State Chamber’s Leadership Arkansas Class VIII and serves on the board of the Ozark Literacy Council. Mervin has also been recognized by Arkansas Business as one of the state’s 20 in their 20s and by the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal as one of the Fast 15.
Mervin earned a B.A. in Economics and International Relations and a Masters in Public Administration and Public Policy from the University of Arkansas. He was previously the Assistant Director of the Center for Business and Economic Research.
