Part 1: The Rest | Finding Clarity in the Chaos
June 18th, 2019
You’re dedicated and diligent. You’re committed to your cause. You’re agile and relish in the fast pace that has become the norm in a 24-hour economy. Some days are too short, some seem unending, and there are times when you’ve barely made it through one set of rapids before another set begins; you need calm waters to reset. This session will help you find ways to rest in the chaos and paddle back in with confidence. Every river has an eddy, you just must pull into it. During this first session, you will walk away with a clear picture of where you are going and how to find rest while you are on the path.
June 18 Session Outline:
5 PM: Speed Networking
5:15 PM: Story, Team & Leadership Model Intro
5:30 PM: Clarify Vision - Goals & Growth Exercises (3 year, 1 year, 90 day focus)
6 PM: Identify Core Values & Strategic Priority Setting
6:15 PM: Wrap-Up & Peer Mentoring Intro
Outcomes - You will....
1) Learn to clarify your vision
2) Discover how to find rest in the chaos
3) Explore how to live your mission and values to remain authentic to who you are
4) Create & own your priorities so that peripheral issues don’t keep you from what’s important
Part 2: The Hustle | Build Relationships in the Rush
June 25, 2019
Momentum can be your friend. To perform at high speed however, you need to set a pace to ensure the speed doesn?t control you. The best kayakers learn to navigate the rapids and build positive momentum. They don?t let boulders get in the way and they don?t allow the current to sweep them in directions they don?t want to go. Great leaders lead with a selfless ambition that allows them to hustle and still value people in the rush. This session will give you key insights on how to build relationships and influence during the journey. You will learn how to navigate challenges successfully, instead of letting conflict destroy momentum.
Outcomes
1) Create a new way of communicating effectively
2) Explore how to show value to different personality types
3) Learn key tactics for building collaborative relationships in challenging conversations
Please note: attendees are not required to attend all 3 series to leverage the strategies covered, but it is encouraged.
Part 3: The Grind | Develop Leadership Through Ownership
July 2, 2019
Leadership is sometimes like paddling seven miles down a slow-flowing river when it’s 96 degrees and the sun is beaming down. The difference between great leaders and people who just get work done is that great leaders take ownership and hold themselves accountable regardless of the circumstances. When the sun is scorching hot, they don’t blame others. When the current is painfully slow, they don’t drift passively along, hoping their mistakes won’t be discovered. They own their work and grind to help everyone get the results they need. During this session, learn key insights on how to take ownership and be accountable to be a great leader.
Outcomes
1) Learn the principles for taking ownership and improving your leadership.
2) Explore how to hold yourself and others accountable in an effective way.
3) Create a new way to effectively build your influence and leadership.
Please note: attendees are not required to attend all 3 series to leverage the strategies covered, but it is encouraged.
