Description
Partnering with Just Communities of Arkansas, The Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce has produced CRAFT (Community Retention and Attraction of Future Talent); programming around Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
This innovative and trans-formative program is a key stone of the Chamber equity-driven economic growth and diverse talent initiatives and will provide participants a continuous learning experience that goes deep into understanding about DEI issues and best workplace practices while developing inclusive leadership skills and fostering a welcoming, engaging quality of life for Bentonville-area professionals.
This four part CRAFT session will be geared towards emerging professionals and sessions for those leading our economy and community for the decades to come will be presented during the lunchtime hour. If your organization is interested in sponsoring this event, please contact us for details.
Series topics for this second session include but are not limited to:
Racial Equity
Systemic Oppression
Forming Authentic Relationships
Addressing Trauma & Promoting Healing
CRAFT's Diversity/Equity/Inclusion Series in August will focus on how we strengthen our local capacity to eliminate racial disparities, heal racial divisions and co-create more equitable workplaces in our community. This session will 1) develop our understanding of structural racism, 2) enable us to reflect and reckon with our own relationship to racial inequity in the workplace and 3) help us effectively recognize addressing trauma and promoting healing as essential to advancing inclusion and equity. Guests are not required to attend every session to participate, though it is encouraged.
