Laura Phillips, SVP Corp Affairs/Sustainability Laura Phillips is the Senior Vice President for Global Sustainability for Walmart Stores, Inc. In this role she is responsible for partnering with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement our Sustainability strategy. Walmart?s Sustainability strategy is aligned with our mission to help our customers Save Money and Live Better by focusing on reducing costs in energy and waste, while providing access to products sourced sustainably. Previously Laura led an Enterprise Strategy team on Omni-Channel Assortments and formerly Laura has been in Merchandising for US Stores for 20 years in various roles and categories, moving from the from buyer to GMM. We will be chatting about "Technology Enabling Sustainability in Retail" with focus on Zero Waste, Circular Economy, Carbon Emissions, Supply Chain Transparency, Plastics and Packaging and Partnerships.

Laura joined Walmart in 1994, as a store intern in Florida. In 1995, she transitioned to the Walmart Home office as the buyer for toys, cosmetics and flowers. In 2003, she was promoted to Vice President and Divisional Merchandise Manager (DMM) and served as the DMM in various departments including: dry grocery, meals, wireless, video games and toys. In 2010, Laura was promoted to the Senior Vice President of Toys, Seasonal, Celebrations and Seasonal Key Events and also served as a GMM in Entertainment.
She earned her Bachelor's degree of Science in France from the University of Florida in Gainesville, an MBA from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and is a Graduate of the Global 2020 program at the Tuck Business School at Dartmouth. She resides in Rogers, AR with her husband, John and their two children, Jack and Kate.
Ann Starodaj, Head of Sustainability at Optoro - Ann is the Senior Director of Sustainability at Optoro, a reverse logistics technology company based in Washington, DC. Ann brings over a decade of experience in the sustainability field, having held previous positions in the government, non-profit, and private sectors. At Optoro, Ann overseas initiatives that enable retailers and brands to reduce wast and emissions in the reverse supply chain. She also manages the company's corporate citizen and community engagement programs. Ann holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Lewis and Clark College and an M.S. in Environmental Policy from Bard College. Ann lines in the Hudson Valley, NY with her husband and son.
Debbie Krupitzer, Innovation Lead at SAP - Debbie is an Entrepreneurial Executive with 20+ years designing and building impactful "connected" solutions for businesses in manufacturing, retail, consumer goods, insurance, and high tech. An expert at developing and executing go to market strategy programs that strengthen positioning, create market leadership and build strategic partnerships. She is proven business leader with strong marketing, product development, and service delivery experience. A strategist with Global experience using disruptive technology to drive business value.

He has extensive experience assisting clients in the development and management of their most complex talent, leadership, culture and change transformations. Nicholas has been at the forefront of partnering with some of the world's largest organizations to determine how they rethink the future of work and the workforce. He's helped to design new business models that leverage technology to expand the concept of the workforce, and used data to predict where the biggest disruption to the workforce might occur. Nicholas leads Accenture's Future Workforce practice globally, with a focus on partnering with our clients to build sustainable talent strategies in the face of automation, AI, emerging workforce models and new talent pools enabled by digital platforms. Nicholas is based in Minneapolis, but as also lived and worked in Africa, Asia, North America, Europe and Australia.
