In this role\, Karen leads teams responsible for delivery of private brand product offerings aligned to the "save money\, live better" mission\, via EDLC assortments and fast\, agile\, and responsible supply chains.\n\n \n\nPrior to her current position\, Karen led Merchandising\, Brand\, and Product Development disciplines within the Apparel and Home business units.\n\nKaren gained manufacturing and consumer packaged goods experience with Sara Lee Corporation from 1997\, and was President of the Casualwear business unit of the Branded Apparel Division before joining Wal-Mart in 2004.\n\nBeginning her career in store operations with the Limited Corporation in 1980\, Karen held retail merchandising leadership roles with the Cato Corporation\, Montgomery Ward\, Target Stores\, and Hart\, Schaffner & Marx.\n\n \n\nKaren is Chair of the Walmart Women's Officer Caucus and is a member of the Walmart President's Inclusion Council. Within the industry\, Karen chairs the National Network of Executive Women. Active in community efforts\, she serves on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Benton County\, and as an Executive Committee board member for Enactus.\n\n \n\nKaren earned her bachelor's degree in Marketing and Economics at St. Norbert College in DePere\, WI. She and her husband Andy are parents to four grown children\, and live in Bentonville\, AR.\n\n\n\n\n\nKaren Dineen\n\nSenior Director for Private Brands\, General Merchandise\, Walmart US\n\n \n\nBeginning her career with Walmart in 1980 gives Karen a great perspective on serving the customer with Walmart's unique value proposition for over 37 years. She currently serves as Senior Director for Private Brands\, General Merchandise\, Walmart US. In this role\, Karen leads a team responsible for strategy\, development and management of the general merchandise private brand portfolio. She also leads the creative\, color and trend teams supporting private brand product development. Together they're building trust and loyalty in Walmart's private brands with relevant and compelling assortments meeting the customers rising expectations.\n\n \n\nKaren began her career at Walmart working close to the customer as an assistant store manager. Prior to her current position she has held roles in replenishment\, apparel merchandising\, and home product development.\n\nKaren is a passionate volunteer for the Susan G. Komen Ozark Affiliate. In 2016 she was awarded the Promise of One national volunteer award for her fundraising efforts for the Race for the Cure.\n\nKaren earned her bachelor's degree in Marketing at Illinois State University in Normal\, Illinois. She resides in Rogers\, AR and enjoys Beaver Lake\, the trails of Northwest Arkansas\, Razorback Basketball\, and true to her roots\, the Green Bay Packers.
