DESCRIPTION:Tom Ward\nVice President Digital Operations\, Walmart U.S.\n\nTom currently serves as Vice President Digital Operations\, in the Walmart U.S. segment.\n\nIn his role he has responsibility for the Grocery Pickup and Delivery business and e-Commerce Operations along with a number of areas focused on the simplification and continuous improvement of operations across both Neighborhood Markets and Supercenters   these include the standardization of our operating procedures through 'One Best Way'\, reporting and Mobile Applications Strategy.\n\n\n\nHe will be outlining:\n\n\n	Online Grocery Program (how it works and how its growing)\n	The technology   Pickup Towers and latest developments\n	Some of the automation and robotics work which they have released recently \n	What's next \n\n\nTom started his career with Asda\, our UK subsidiary\, as a department manager on the graduate program in 2007. Tom has held a wide number of management roles in store from Customer Service\, to Fresh Food before eventually promoting to run stores in the Central England area of South East Yorkshire.\n\nTom spent two years in the Asda Home Office working in Central Retail Operations where he supported teams running Communications\, Work Force Management\, Asset Protection\, Retail Operations and Online Grocery operations.\n\nIn 2013 Tom moved to the U.S. to work as Development Coordination Director in Walmart International where he had responsibility for supporting various teams across Strategy\, Real Estate\, M+A and Private Brands before localizing in Walmart U.S as Senior Director Small Formats where he built the foundation for Central Operations before expanding his responsibilities to Supercenters.\n\nTom holds a First Class Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography from Loughborough University\, England and currently lives in Farmington\, Arkansas.\n\n\n\nSponsorships available contact Sherry at srolsma@greaterbentonville.com or 479-273-2841
