Gerald Torres has established himself as a leading figure and professor in his fields of race theory\, federal Indian law\, and environmental law. A dynamic and multi-talented speaker and blues harmonica player\, Torres will punctuate his talk on the significance of water and Native resource management with performance\, backed by local band Lost John. Currently the Jane M.G. Foster Professor at Cornell Law School\, Professor Torres is also Board Chair of Earth Day and has served as deputy assistant attorney general for the Environment and Natural Resources Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and as counsel to then U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno.
