Description
In the wake of COVID-19, many small businesses are shifting to remote customer service or telework practices. Due to this, small business owners and employees must be aware of the increased risks of cyber threats and develop strategies to mitigate those risks. To help educate us, Sam Grubb and Keith Crawford from Edafio Technology Partners will be giving three takeaways that they see as a rising problem specific to small businesses.
– How secure are payment apps and what are the risks for my business and customers?
– Why and how to use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?
– What are the most common email vulnerabilities for my businesses?
Sam Grubb is a Cyber Security Consultant at Edafio Technology Partners, where he focuses on policy, security risk assessments, and security awareness programs. Previously, Sam worked as a contractor for the National Guard teaching Information Assurance courses and a teacher for Jacksonville High School as their Cyber Security Education Specialist. Currently, Sam is helping companies reach CMMC Level 3 compliance. He has a wife and son who live with five cats and one dog. He enjoys reading, writing, comedy, and impractical technical projects.
Keith Crawford is a Sr. Cybersecurity Consultant at Edafio Technology Partners where he specializes in Risk Management, Security Program Development, Operational Compliance, and Strategic Initiatives. Keith currently serves as a CISO for clients as well as developing Edafio’s Cybersecurity Services. According to his daughter, he has meetings for a living, which isn’t far from the truth. Before Edafio, Keith has served clients for almost 15 years, first as a Network Engineer, and most recently as Director of Client Strategy. Keith believes in the power of security and compliance to help an organization mature, transform, and thrive. His mission is assisting clients in catching that vision and executing on it. Keith is a frequent speaker and panel member at community events and conferences. Outside of work, he is a passionate Disaster Relief volunteer and an active member of his local church. He is blessed with great kids, an amazing wife, and an ok dog.
