The Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce, along with our session sponsor Valassis and our WalStreet Program is proud to present the WalStreet Speaker Series.
Featured Speaker - Tom Ward, SVP Customer Product Innovation, Walmart
Tom currently serves as Senior Vice President, Customer Product Innovation in our Walmart Customer segment. In this role he has responsibility for our Online Grocery Pickup and Delivery business across the 3,200+ live stores. Tom also leads our teams focused on the Online Grocery website and supporting applications along with the customer product roadmaps and our automation and autonomous vehicle initiatives.
Tom began his Walmart career with Asda, our UK subsidiary, and has held a wide number of field management roles across Central England. Tom spent two years in the Asda Home Office working in Central Retail Operations where he supported teams running Communications, Work Force Management, Asset Protection, Retail Operations and Online Grocery Operations.
In 2013, Tom moved to the U.S. to work as Development Coordination Director in Walmart International
where he had responsibility for supporting various teams across Strategy, Real Estate, M+A and Private
Brands before localizing in Walmart U.S. as Senior Director Small Formats. In this role, he helped build
the foundation for Central Operations before expanding his responsibilities to Supercenters and promoting to Vice President Central Operations.
