2022 WalStreet Fireside Chat Presented by Novo Nordisk
WALSTREET FIRESIDE CHAT
Presented by Novo Nordisk and the Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce WalStreet Program
Please join us for this WalStreet Fireside Chat where we will be discussing Health Equity and what we can do together to address Cardiometabolic Syndrome.
Cardiometabolic-related risk factors, including diabetes and heart disease, account for more than 12 million years of life lost annually among Black adults in the United States. These disparities are geographically located, and Blacks are four times more likely than Whites to live in low socioeconomic status, increasing the odds of obesity, high blood pressure, lower HDL-cholesterol, elevated fasting glucose, and markers of inflammation. However, just describing these issues is not enough. It's time for us to take action. Its time for us to make health equity an issue.
- Warren Moore, Vice President, Social Determinants of Health Actions, Walmart.
- Creshelle R. Nash, M.D., Medical Director for Health Equity, Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Craig Levoy, M.D., Medical Director of the Community Quality Alliance, Northwest Health
