Description
Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area to host astronomy night (ROGERS, Ark.) – Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area and The Sugar Creek Astronomical Society to offer a free evening of astronomy enjoyment and education. David Carter begins the September 27th event at 6:30 pm with his presentation on Beginning Astrophotography. Material to be covered includes choosing the right camera, choosing compatible accessories, and discussion on using Photoshop and “stacking” to produce pleasing astrophotography. At 7:30 pm, night sky viewing begins. Ringed planet Saturn appears in the eastern sky along with planet Neptune in the constellation Pisces. Pegasus (The winged horse), Aquila (The eagle), and Cygnus (The swan) will be prominent. Mars will be visible in the west. No reservations are necessary. Recommended ages – 12+.
