Description
End-of-Life Doulas Help Ease the Final Transition.
We are your personal advocate, cheerleader, companion, guide, ear, rock, and support system. End-of-life doulas advocate for the wishes and needs of the dying person. We work with the health care team in ongoing care and coordinate with the support network of family and friends in place or help to establish a needed support system.
We fill gaps in care and tackle tasks that are difficult to do or face. All the while, we can be a calming presence for loved ones and the dying person, especially for those who are facing death all alone.
What you get out of this 60-minute learning session:
- The five keys to what an End-of-Life Doula does and how they support families and the dying person,
- Three reasons why you may need an End-of-Life Doula, and
- An immediate action checklist to help guide your decision-making process.
Who this is for:
- Family caregivers
- Individuals seeking additional support
- Healthcare professionals and chaplains
- Anyone interested in learning more about End-of-Life Doulas
