Position Summary:

The Director of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) is the founding member of our global HRIS team and reports directly to the VP of Employee Experience and People Systems with a dotted line into the CPO- Americas and CPO-EMEA.  The Director is responsible for leading all HRIS related matters. They are a strategic partner to the wider People and Culture Team (PACT), as well as to our IT department to research, select, roll-out, and integrate a global HRIS system with key integrations to align all areas of PACT functions. The Director further develops and rolls out HRIS processes, by translating these into tangible and future-proof IT solutions.  They work with a core team to envision and incorporate global tech solutions in the selection and implementation process of our new HRIS.  The Director builds and guides a team of HRIS experts who will continue to partner on developing and fine-tuning our HRIS framework, tools, and processes.  They and their teams will be the key contact for any HRIS and Payroll related queries globally.

The Director can work remotely with travel as needed to our Denver area headquarters and our EMEA and APAC regions.  They will typically work according to a US Mountain Time schedule and be flexible to accommodate our colleagues in EMEA and APAC as needed. 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • In strategic partnership with Pax8 IT and PACT leadership, identifies, selects, drives integration, and facilitates migration to an integrated HRIS Tech Stack and further develops and rolls out HRIS processes, by translating these into tangible and future-proof IT solutions; oversees and supports the implementation and optimal function of our HRIS/Payroll system and related processes, tools, and procedures
  • Creates and executes a change management plan to ensure global adoption of the People Tech Stack
  • Leads PACT contributions to the Pax8 data governance model (overseeing all system matters related to internal data, backup files, integrity, security, etc.)
  • Creates a strong vision for PACT software and applications including creating business cases, change management plans, and implementation strategies
  • Leads a successful PACT Tech team through coaching, developing, and guiding the team using ongoing two-way communication; as a leader, provides vision and focus on both individual and team success
  • Ensures data integrity through process review and audit procedures
  • Ensures system compliance with Global data security and privacy requirements
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in data management and security, HR technology, and HRIS applications

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least eight (8) years of experience, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role, within an HRIS environment; experience with Workday, Oracle or SAP Success factors is preferred
  • Demonstrated success in the implementation of a global HRIS solution with a growing organization of at least 1,000 team members across multiple geographies
  • Experience aligning solutions with HR policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals
  • Proven success managing multiple initiatives at the same time while collaborating with various stakeholders (both internal and external) along with the ability to maintain a good and structured thinking process/overview while doing so
  • Has an innovative, continuous development mindset; applies learning and methodologies to continuously improve the Pax8 experience
  • Proven inclusive leadership skills with a demonstrated high degree of self-awareness and emotional intelligence (EQ); ability to flex leadership style to meet the needs of a diverse team
  • Strong team player with a high level of organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work with confidential information in a mature way
  • Fluency in English; fluency in any other language is preferred
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships across global regions, manage remotely, and work with remote team members effectively
  • Consistently models Pax8 values and our people-first culture in all interactions; proactively identifies and builds partnerships with key stakeholders across the global Pax8 footprint

Required Education & Certifications:

  • B.A./B.S. in business information systems or related field or equivalent work experience

Work Environment:

Hybrid office environment.  Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, printers, and filing cabinets. Remote and/or hybrid work at Pax8 requires all employees to have adequate secure and private internet service.

Travel Requirements:

Some travel might be required, as we will implement a new HRIS system over the next 3 years, and as much of the project is managed from another country, potentially 10-20% travel to Europe and/or Australia might be required.

Compensation:

  • Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $155,000 or more depending on experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
