Position Summary: 

The Senior Channel Events Specialist organizes the success of logistics for the Channel Events & Channel Programs. They provide guidance and act as a mentor to other Channel Events Specialists and train new team members. The Senior Specialist manages and builds relationships with partners and internal cross-functional teams while presenting results and adhering to budget guidelines.

Essential Responsibilities and Percentage of Time Spent (includes, but is not limited to):

  1. Train new team members on best practices, processes, and behaviors
  2. Mentor, coach, and guide other team members; serve as point of escalation
  3. Travel to Channel events to present on behalf of Pax8, work booth sessions, and coordinate other event activities and logistics
  4. Organize and manage Pax8 event logistics including packing, shipping, and tracking
  5. Manage multiple vendor relationships, while handling logistics for all Channel & Pax8 events
  6. Assist with the Pax8 internal inventory logistics
  7. Manage the relationship with partners, Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Value Added Resellers (VARs), vendors and industry partner association groups
  8. Coordinate event planning, merchandise logistics, internal and external communication with key stakeholders
  9. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of key metrics and event results
  10. Adhere to budget guidelines
  11. Provide input to create, adjust, and refine best practice for the Sales and Marketing team; develop and nurture relationships with internal cross-functional teams
  12. Fill in gaps during high event season

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least three (3) years of experience in marketing or sales
  • At least two (2) years of directly relevant experience; event production, event operations or trade show experience
  • At least one (2) years of proven event logistics experience
  • Proven presentation skills required for Channel events
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce
  • Knowledge of Wrike & Excel preferred
  • Self-motivated, strategic creative worker with a drive for executional excellence
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Creative thinker and problem solver – always looking beyond the available options when up against roadblocks
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external teams
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional organization
  • Experience learning and navigating within a high-growth and fast paced environment
  • Ability to apply knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization's goals
  • Ability to develop and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
  • Ability to develop people to meet both their career goals and the organizations goals
  • Ability to provide direction, delegate, and remove obstacles to get things done
  • Ability to adapt approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations

Required Education & Certifications:

  • A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience

Work Environment:

Professional office environment.  Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, printers, and filing cabinets. Remote and/or hybrid work at Pax8 requires all employees to have adequate secure and private internet service.

Physical Demands:

Sedentary role; primarily involves sitting/standing

Travel Requirements:

Ability to travel 2-4 times per month within the U.S. and Canada, 2-4 days per trip

Compensation: 

  • Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $65,000 or more depending on experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
