Position Title: Membership & Sponsorship Director 
 
Overview: The Membership & Sponsorship Director is a relationship-driven sales role responsible for growing and retaining chamber membership and securing sponsorship partnerships. This position serves as a primary connector between the chamber and local business owners, clearly communicating the value of membership and sponsorship while driving revenue that supports impactful programs and events. The ideal candidate is outgoing, goal-oriented, and passionate about helping local businesses succeed. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  1. Membership Sales & Retention 
    • Proactively connect with local business owners and community stakeholders to promote chamber membership. 
    • Communicate the value, benefits, and impact of chamber membership in a compelling, consultative manner. 
    • Drive membership growth through outreach, follow-ups, referrals, and relationship management. 
    • Support member retention efforts by maintaining regular contact and identifying opportunities for deeper engagement. 
  2. Sponsorship Sales & Management 
    • Manage the chamber’s sponsorship portfolio, including identifying, securing, and stewarding sponsorship partners 
    • Work collaboratively with event and marketing staff to ensure sponsors receive agreed-upon benefits and visibility 
    • Track sponsorship commitments and renewals to support consistent revenue growth 
  3. Sales Tracking & Reporting 
    • Maintain accurate records of member and sponsor interactions. 
    • Track sales activity, leads, and performance metrics. 
    • Provide regular updates and reports on membership and sponsorship growth. 
 
Qualifications and Skills: 
  • Passion for the Bentonville area and the Northwest Arkansas community.  
  • A service-minded approach to hospitality. Committed to delivering an exceptional experience for Chamber members, comparable to the standards of the world’s best hotels.  
  • High-energy, excitement, positivity.  
  • 3+ years experience in sales, business development, fundraising, or relationship management. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Self-motivated and the ability to meet and exceed sales goals. 
  • Comfortable networking and engaging with business owners at all levels. 
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Comfortable using CRM platforms.  
  • Familiarity of sponsorship and partnership development practices, with experience in securing sponsorships for events. 
 
Reporting Structure & Compensation:
  • This position reports directly to the Vice President.  
  • This is a full-time, salaried role with commission-based incentives tied to membership and sponsorship sales performance.
