Health and Wellness
Join us for this Fireside Chat with a focus on Health and Wellness. Walmart is leveraging some of its most tangible assets as it sharpens focus on health and wellness sector. The sheer number of Walmart locations nationwide - combined with unprecedented buying power and customer loyalty - have the retailer poised to remain a powerful contender as it strives to provide increased access, quality and affordability in the healthcare arena. We will be discussing Walmart's focus on fresh to increase consumer focus on nutrition, reading labels, healthy choices, vitamins, supplements and organic/natural options. Suppliers need to be forward-thinking related to both traditional “healthy” items and evolving demands. We will also hear about Walmart's plan to implement the company’s focus on the health and wellness business in the near term, with the goal of making health care more affordable and accessible.Health and Wellness

Karim Bennis - Vice President, Strategic Planning & Implementation, Walmart
Health & Wellness
With a strong background in healthcare, Karim recently joined Walmart Heath an wellness as the new Vice President, Strategic Planning & Implementation.
Karim has been tasked with leading design and implementation of several transformation efforts within Health and Wellness, leveraging Walmart's cor Pharmacy, Clinical, Optical and OTC assets to unlock further value.
Previous to Walmart, Karim was with Monitor Deloitte where he has assisted several major Health Plans, Providers and Healthcare services companies in formulation their growth strategies, redesigning their business models and identifying game-changing ideas to accelerate their growth.
Karim has also worked in M&A investment banking in London where he executed on several major deals within the Healthcare space. Karim has received a masters Degree in Applied Finance from Pepperdine University, an MPA for Harvard University and an MBA from UCLA, Anderson School of Management.
James McGinnis - Sr. Director of Sales - Walmart/Sam's Club, Clif Bar & Company
James joined Clif Bar & Co. in 2013 and has over 17 years experience in the supplier community. His experience ranges from analytics and category management to customer marketing to sales and team leadership across a range of small, independent manufactures and large fortune 100 suppliers. At Clif Bar, James is working to help introduce and educate shoppers to a Heath and Wellness focused lifestyle through nutritious portable snacking solutions.
John W. Collins - Founder and CEO, OmniiX - Online Retail e-Commerce
John W. Collins is a dynamic executive with a background in business consulting and financial management with prominent wire house organizations such as Wells Fargo and Merrill Lynch. In addition to having established his own consumer brands and being among the top 1% of Amazon sellers, he is the founder and CEO of OmniiX, a leading Amazon management firm. Based in Rogers, Arkansas, OmniiX leverages deep expertise in the field of ecommerce to partner with some of the most recognizable consumer brands, including Banana Boat, Schick, Birds Eye and Smithfield Foods, to drive their continued growth and success on the Amazon platform.
The WalStreet program, part of the Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce, is excited to offer quarterly WalStreet Fireside Chats. Fireside Chats provide a small, intimate setting, giving suppliers access to day-to-day decision makers across key divisions of Walmart and Sam’s Club. Fireside Chats will be structured as open forums, including panel discussions and Q&A with Walmart, Sam’s Club, third party suppliers and CPG suppliers.
