The House of Songs

About Us

The House of Songs (THOS) hosts songwriters from around the world for artist-in-residence programs in a setting in which they can exchange ideas, co-write songs and collaborate with local musicians, and provide public performances of newly-written works. The public performances, as well as speaking engagements for the visiting songwriters via collaborative programming with other area cultural institutions, provide educational opportunities for the public, enhancing musical appreciation and modeling ways people of different cultures and different demographics can work together collaboratively to find common ground through music and create works of art that transcend cultural differences.
